How The Cottage came to be...

My journey with children began 9 years ago as I started nannying in high school. Over the last four years, I've had the privilege of being a personal nanny to several wonderful families as a more serious job. Initially, this helped support me through school, but it soon evolved into something more important to me. The strong bonds I formed with the families I worked with led me to continue nannying even after starting my own family. Witnessing the incredible development of these children became extremely rewarding and I absolutely loved going to work each day.  I was blessed with the opportunity to bring my little Caroline to work with me. Observing my own child grow and interact with children of various ages, as well as other adults, I realized the profound impact of a strong and supportive community during these formative years. I was just beginning to understand the phrase “It takes a village to raise a child.” This year, it hit me that what began as a means to support myself and my family had evolved into my dream job. As I conversed with countless parents, it became evident that there was a growing demand for exceptional and unconventional early childhood education. This realization started Caroline's Cottage. Our purpose is to become part of your "village." While we understand that the home is the foundation of a child's development, we aim to complement and support that process, lightening the load for families. In today's fast-paced and demanding world, we aspire to create a haven where your children can slow down and cherish the moments of their childhood journey.
